How To Play

"Less is More"

Less is More is a Clean and Simple challenge but what does

Clean and Simple (CAS) mean and what are we looking for on your cards?

ONE main focal point
Lots of clean / open / non-patterned space
(often called ‘White’ space although not necessarily white)
Minimal or NO layers
Minimal embellishments
Quick and easy to re-create

Our Guidelines
Entries failing to follow the challenge guidelines may be deleted

Ensure your entry is CLEAN & SIMPLE
Please link directly to your entry not just your blog
Please link back to the challenge post in your own post
Please NO back-linking to posts prior to the date of the challenge
A maximum of 5 challenges may be combined including ours
You may enter more than once as long as each submission is a different creation

May we ask for those with 'Word Verification' to turn it off please, as this makes commenting
easier and also prevents comments not being left if WV goes unnoticed

Glossary of Terms

Clean & Simple: A design of card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments.

White Space: An area of the card which has no image, layer or embellishment. This can be any colour dependent upon the colour of the card blank.

OLC One Layer Card: One piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, where the image is stamped or printed directly onto the cardstock.

*** We have decided to allow inlaid dies as a technique for one layer cards as long as the whole of the card front is simply lined, thus giving the appearance of just one one layer

  1. Thanks for providing such clear guidelines... and also for providing the "Help Info" link at the top of this page. I just checked if I had word verification turned on and discovered that I did! So, took care of that. (Actually, I wasn't able to change is using the directions you provided because I couldn't figure out how to locate "old blogger"- I am new to this whole blogging thingee! However, I googled the issue and found a site that quickly walked me through the process on my current blogger account. Will post that link here in case you are interested- http://www.twelveskip.com/tutorials/blogger/1317/turn-off-captcha-on-blogger.
